TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — Maclay celebrated two football players Friday afternoon, who signed on to play college football. Robert Parker-Crawford will be headed to Illinois State University, while his teammate, Brecht Heuchan is headed to Randolph-Macon.
While both student-athletes are excited for the future and the ability to play college football, they also know they will miss playing with one another. They both called the transition tough.
Parker-Crawford said, "We've made a bond over this high school, four years, that can't be broken. And I mean, he has to do what's best for him and I have to do what's best for myself."
"He keeps me grounded, my family keeps me grounded, everybody sort of is able to hold me up and keep me on the right track," said Heuchan. "It's going to be tough for sure."
