TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - After fourteen seasons as head coach of his alma mater, Rickards head baseball coach Brian Kelley announced on Monday he's stepping down. Kelley told WTXL after a long career, he needed to step away to focus on and better provide for his family.
Kelley led the Raiders to a District Championship in 2018, and last summer, he won a Babe Ruth World Series crown with Tallahassee-Leon.
Well I guess this is the best way to say it.....but after 14 years it's time for me to move on. Thanks you to all that have been involved for the last 14. Too many to mention but I love each and every one of you. #blue&goldtillthecasketfold https://t.co/w7NGi4bbvA

Kelley said he was unsure who would take over for him, as he turned in his resignation on Monday. He said he hoped they would hire his JV coach, Tyler Henry, who played for Kelley and has headed the JV program for the past three seasons.
