TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - In November, the Leon High School volleyball team won State. On Wednesday, two of those powerhouses on that Leon squad signed scholarships to continue their careers at the next level. A'nylah Cobb is headed to Alabama State, while Shania Cromartie is off to Mississippi State.

Both say they are ready for the next step, and they know they wouldn't be where they are without Leon.

"It's very exciting. It's a bittersweet occasion," said Cromartie of her signing day. "I'll definitely miss my Leon family with how much they've done for me, but I'm so excited to get to Mississippi State and start training with them."

"It's really nice to know I get to go to my number one school, my number one D1 school," added Cobb. "All the hard work I've put in over the past 4-5 years has finally paid off."

Both girls have known each other since the fifth grade, and they said there isn't anyone else they would have wanted to share today with.
