TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Leon High School volleyball team went 29-3 en route to winning the Class 6A State Championship this year. It's a year this team won't forget for a while.

Kayla Chambliss was a part of that team, and on Wednesday she celebrated signing a scholarship to continue playing at the next level at Lake Sumter State College. Chambliss said she is excited to continue playing at the next level, and hope this step only leads her to bigger things.

"When I went there the campus was really pretty, it was small enough for me, and it's not too far from home. I love the team and the coaches. I never saw myself at the beginning of high school committing to a college for volleyball, but now that it's here, I'm proud of myself."

Chambliss said she was to study psychology, and one day, hopes to become a music therapist.
