FORT MYERS — Both St. John Paul II and Leon High School volleyball teams made the trip to Ft. Myers today for their respective FHSAA state championship games.

For the Panthers their 2A title game paired them against defending champions Lake Worth Christian. The Defenders came away with the three set sweep (29-27, 25-17, 25-9).

Over in class 6A the Leon Lions on the verge of their own back-to-back state titles with only Mater Academy Charter standing in between them.
