TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — High School athletes in Leon County are starting to see a little light at the end of the pandemic tunnel.
Leon County Schools said that on June 15, teams will be able to get back to work.
Currently, only fall sport athletes can return, and they must follow off-season FHSAA guidlines.
There will be specific guidelines due to the pandemic, and Ricky Bell, the director of student activities for Leon County Schools told us he will discuss those with athletic directors on Friday.
Other schools around Leon County that aren't don't fall under the Leon County School System are still making final decisions as to when to start back. Most of them are awaiting final approval from their individual school boards.
