TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Everyone is awaiting the return of athletics and officials in Georgia are hopeful things can get started sooner rather than later.
Georgia High School Association executive director Robin Hines appeared on a podcast on the National Federation of State High School Associations website where he said he hopes activities can open at some level this summer, possibly as soon as June.
On the GHSA website Hines reiterated that no decisions have been made as to a return, but, "Social distancing, reduced numbers of athletes and coaches per session, disinfecting facilities as well as standard hygiene practices will certainly be a part of any return to sport training."
The Florida High School Athletic Association says they'll know more in regards to fall sports as we move closer to August.
