CRAWFORDVILLE, Fl. (WTXL) - Almost two months ago, Wakulla and Godby faced off on the football field. Wakulla won by ten, but on Friday night they'll see each other again, granted, there's a little more at stake now.
When these two meet Friday night, it'll be in the Elite Eight of the Class 5A State play-offs, and the winner is then just two wins away from a State title.
"They're playing good at the right time," said Wakulla head coach Scott Klees. "We're playing good at the right time. I think it'll be a great game. It'll be packed out here Friday night. It should come down to who makes the fewest mistakes."
"Play smart football. Play physical. That's what they're all about," added Godby's Brandon McCray. "Their head coach is a great coach. He is battle tested himself. We know he'll have them playing very physical Friday night."
Friday night's game is set for a 7:30 kick in Crawfordville.
