TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 6) – The 9th annual Capital City Classic came to a close on this Saturday and a couple of big bend teams were able to close the weekend strong.
After taking down Tarpon Springs in five overtimes, the Godby Cougars would take down Newsome 19-14 to earn a 5th place finish in the Gold Bracket.
Rickards collected hardware of their own after defeating Martin County 29-6 in the championship game of the Silver Bracket.
Overall, a solid weekend for many of our local squads in one of the best tournaments the state has to offer.
