TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Seminoles of Florida High cruising to 3-0 on the year and coming off a big win over traditional power Columbia.
This is a squad on a mission.
Florida High fell in last year's 3A title game. They want to get back there and they want to win.
Head football coach Jarrod Hickman knew they'd be good, and even with an off-season that was less than ideal, they've continued to push onward.
"I knew we had a lot of veteran leadership and we had a lot of guys who'd played in big games, so when we were short on practices and time together, I certainly leaned on those guys a lot to help us get ready," said Hickman. "We've played good football here the last couple weeks, but we have a lot of work we still have to do. This group makes you want to do that. They don't let anything slide by and they come out every week with a great attitude of we have a lot of things to prepare for, and this journey is important for us."
The Noles have a big rivalry game this Friday night against North Florida Christian. Kick-off is at 7-30 p.m. at Florida High.
