TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - On Friday night, a rivalry is reborn at Florida High, as the Seminoles welcome in PK Yonge. The Seminoles are Florida State's lab school, while PK is the University of Florida's lab school.
These two, haven't played since 2012, but are back to play for the Director's Cup Friday night. Even though this group of Noles have never played in this game, some of the coaching staff has, and they know how big this game is.
"It's a 3A game, it's a Region game, so we want to make sure we can come out and improve on the things we didn't do well last week," said Florida High head coach Jarrod Hickman. "We've brought back some people this week, we've made sure that they understand the importance of this rivalry. As a former player, I'm excited about it. It's always been a great game, we're excited to get it back, and have another week to get better."
Friday night's match-up kicks off at 7:30 at Florida High.
