TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Everyone loves a good homecoming story, and what a story for Florida High soccer player Justin Garcia Monday night. Garcia was surprised by his dad Blanco on Senior Night. The elder Garcia lives in Costa Rica, and the last time he saw his son play soccer in person was when Justin was five or six years old.

That changed Monday night. The trip was in the works for over three months. Justin had no idea as the secret was kept. There were lots of tears, and this is a night they'll remember forever.

"I was like who is this man coming up that looks exactly like my dad? I thought I was being pranked or something!" laughed Justin. "He got closer and I can't really see without my glasses, and I didn't have my glasses, so I was like, he kind of looks like my dad! Oh my gosh, that is my dad!"

"A lot of emotions came to my mind because I didn't know what to say, what to do at that moment," added Blanco. "We just broke down and started crying and hugging each other, it was a very emotional moment."

Florida High beat St. John Paul II 4-0 for the big Senior Night victory.
