(WTXL) — High school sports in Georgia and Florida will return next month with restrictions in place.

The Georgia High School Association Board of Trustees met Thursday and announced they will open up conditioning June 8th to their member schools.

Workouts are conditioning only and no balls or sport specific equipment can be used.

In addition, groups are limited to twenty people and neither locker rooms nor showers can be used on campus. Weight equipment must also be sanitized, and masks are recommended for use.

Florida schools can begin working out on June 1st, but teams must have permission from their school district.

At this time, Leon County has submitted a proposal to start back on June 15. Taylor County is hoping to start back June 1st. Lafayette County will start back on June 1st. Madison County will start back June 2nd.

This is a developing story.
