VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — According to Max Preps, the Colquitt Packers are nationally ranked at #38 and are looking to do what they do a lot, and that is win. The packers did not take state last year, but for 2019, they feel that they have a lot of weapons on their side. On the defensive side, head coach Justin Roberts said they have a lot of new faces. But the offensive side is a different story. From running back, Daijun Edwards, who has the opportunity to break school records in 2019, to numerous wide-outs and a knowledgeable quarterback, the packers have the chance to go all the way in 2019.

Coach Rogers explained that his squad's schedule this year is looking tough. "It is what it is. When you start playing as a national ranked team and things like that, you have a lot of people beating on your door to play you," explained Coach Rogers. "So, I think I looked the other day, when the top 100 things came out, right now, we have three teams in the top 100 that are on our schedule."

According to Rogers, those three teams are Lowndes, Grayson, and the packers' first opponent for this fall season, North Gwinnett. The packers take on the bulldogs August 24th.
