THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - As referenced in the March 12, 2020 update last night, Brookwood School administration is currently monitoring the COVID-19 situation.

On a daily basis, we are reviewing information from the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, independent school organizations, news sources, and national, state, and local governments. We are in close communication with local health officials about this changing situation.

Due to concerns regarding the spreading of COVID-19, as of March 13, 2020, the Georgia Independent School Association has suspended all interscholastic activities, including athletics and Literary, effective March 14, 2020 through April 10, 2020. This means there will be no athletic competitions, including games, matches, and tournaments, until April 10, 2020 or further notice.

Currently, Brookwood School remains open and will permit athletic practices (while open) to continue with special attention made to keeping our student athletes safe.
Please understand that this remains a fluid and rapidly changing situation. Changes may be made as we are made aware of shifting best practices for the prevention of spreading COVID-19.
