ABC27's Friday Night Overtime Camp Chat: Munroe Bobcats

QUINCY, Fl. (WTXL) - The theme for the Munroe Bobcats last season? Revolution. The theme this year? What's important now, and their focus is taking care of the little things to build off last year's culture change. There's a new head coach on the sidelines for the Bobcats, Alex Lehkey, who is hoping to build off last year's four win season. He notes the school has grown, and so has this team, as over thirty guys will suit up for Munroe this fall.

The Bobcats were young last year, and lot of juniors and sophomores saw playing time. Those guys are a year older now, and they're hoping that pays off.

"One of the cool things at a small school like this is you get guys, we had a guy that graduated last year who played from 7th grade until he was a senior. He was a five, six year letterman," he said. "We don't have many of those guys this year, but being able to have that experience. Every year we have guys that aren't afraid of anything, and we continue to get better and keep building on what was set in place last year and what continues to be built upon."

Munroe travels to Sneads this Friday for preseason action. They open the regular season at home against Wewahitchka.
