TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Maclay Marauders are coming off their best season in school history with a 10-1 and their first unbeaten regular season in school history.
They have the numbers to make this a special year too. They lost just six players off last year's history making team and returning are quarterback Brecht Hutchin, leading rusher and receiver Robert Parker Crawford and a slew of other key players.
Head coach Lance Ramer is entering year number four with Maclay and says this summer has been their best yet. They have a tough regular season slate to come, but it's one they're ready to be challenged by.
"We always say victory loves preparation and so we're preparing like champions to be an elite ball club. We feel really good," said Ramer. "We know we have a lot of work ahead of us. Championship teams are built in the off-season, and I think we had a wonderful summer, so we feel really good about what we can accomplish."
