TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Signings were aplenty on Thursday across the Big Bend. At Godby High School, Emanuel Godfrey inked a track and field scholarship with Coffeyville Community College. At Wakulla High, two baseball players signed, as Chase Forester will be a Chipola Indian, and Jake Bryan made it official with South Georgia State.
At Leon High School, Glenn Davis took advantage of a unique opportunity, as the outfielder signed with North Carolina Sports University, a brand new school which competes independently focusing on sports year round.
The Timberwolves are also coached by a professional scout, and Davis said he is excited about the future.
"To move on anywhere in baseball, especially a university where the coach is a pro scout, is very awesome," he said. "It's a dream of a lifetime to move on to something bigger."
Davis said he plans on studying business management.
