TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Monday was the first day of practice for high schools girls basketball teams in Florida.
FAMU DRS was very young last year. but they still made the State Final Four. The Baby Lady Rattlers have been one of the top programs in the Big Bend over the last decade, winning four State titles since 2012.
Entering this season, the Baby Ladies are now another year older, and with the addition of a few transfers, they're ready for a tough schedule and hopefully an extended season.
"Like we always say, every year is a rebuilding year, it's a new process, we're still trusting the process," said head coach Ericka Cromartie. "At the end of the day, we'll get it done. You know me, I'm going to play the best. By the time it's time for the playoffs, hopefully we'll be so much battle tested, it'll pay off, but we don't care who we play. We just want to get better. I think playing against good competition will make us better in more ways than one."
