TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - High school hoops is set to tip off in the next couple of weeks, and in the Big Bend, Lincoln will be one of the teams to watch.
The Trojans made history last year with their first ever Elite Eight appearance, but this year, they're after that and a whole lot more.
There are five seniors on the roster, three juniors, and 6'4 freshman Khori Louis is joined by FAMU DRS transfers Erin and Erica Turral to round out a talented bunch.
Head coach Rod Mack knows it's early, and there's work to be done, but he is excited about the possibilities.
"Right now we're looking, we're still working on getting things together, you know, we haven't won any games yet, we still have to get on the floor and do what we're supposed to do," he said. "They've really been motivated all summer to get in the gym, get prepared. We're treating every game like it's a Lakeland game. No one will be treated as if they're a weak team, there's no such thing as a weak team because on any given night, we can come in there and lose any game."
Lincoln opens the regular season at home against Wewahitchka on the 21st.
