TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Wednesday was a busy day across North Florida and South Georgia.

Jacksonville University is the destination for Maclay volleyball standout Addy Lewis, who was named to the Under Armour Watchlist as one of the top volleyball players in the nation for her senior year.

What's remarkable about that as well as her signing? Addy picked up the sport of volleyball in her freshman season.

"At first I didn't think I was going to get there, not going to lie, just because I started so late, but the more work I put into it, I was really excited and I just wanted to do it," she said. Of choosing JU? "The campus the atmosphere, the coaches, the girls. Once I went on my official visit, I knew that was the place I wanted to go!"

At Leon, it was a happy signing day for four Lions. Taj Cole, a two time state champion diver, inked with Virginia Tech.

A trio of baseball players signed scholarships as well, as Tyler Borges, Victor Castillo, and True Fontenot signed with Gulf Coast... Florida Atlantic... and West Florida respectively.
