VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta State kicker Anthony Pistelli is the Gulf South Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Pistelli, a sophomore out of Thomasville High School, was perfect from the field in the Blazers' 37-6 win over Shorter Saturday, hitting all four of his extra point attempts and all three of his field goals (33, 40, and 42 yards).
Pistelli is 12-of-13 on the year in field goals, hitting all 12 of his tries shorter than 50 yards. He is 28-of-30 on extra points.
Valdosta State travels to face West Alabama Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in a game broadcast on ESPN3.
