TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - For Godby senior Gisele Jones, sports are just a way of life.

"When I'm playing a sport, it's been a part of me for so long," the three sport athlete said.

Soccer. Weightlifting. Flag football. The Cougars have enjoyed having Jones a part of them.

"It's been a real joy having her for the past four years and seeing her really grow up and mature and being a great leader for our team," said Chelsea Parmer, who's coached Jones in all three sports.

She's a great leader who's looking to finish strong. Soccer and weightlifting? In the books. For Jones, all that's left is to leave her mark on the Cougar flag football team.

"After our ninth grade year, after we went to state and lost, it's just like we have to win," she reflected. "It's our job to win."

"Earlier she said she didn't want any time off in between sports. She wanted to throw next week," laughed Parmer. "We're very excited about the season coming up and obviously she'll be a big part of what we do."

Jones is also doing big things when it comes to the books, as she has a 3.9 GPA.

"I stay focused. I have two goals and one of my goals is to make my family proud and one is to be successful in life," she said.

"Over the past four years, it's been extremely, extremely fun to have her around and have somebody that just enjoys competing and it's almost like she's competing with herself," added Parmer. "She always wants to get better, whether that's in the classroom or on the field."

For Jones, the plan is to compete all the way to a state title.

"I have unfinished business."

Unfinished business, for an athlete that for her, sports are just a way of life.
