TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - For high school basketball teams, the holiday break is quickly approaching. Lot of teams take part in Christmas tournaments, and some choose to go further than others.
For the third straight season, the Godby boys are headed west to Las Vegas for the Jerry Tarkanian Classic. It's a chance for the guys to not only play some of the best teams in the country, but to gain experiences outside of basketball.
"The competition is going to be great," said head coach Andy Colville. "Just playing teams from different areas of the country is great, but my main focus is to go out there and to see different parts of the country. I think we have accomplished that, and I think the guys have a great time, and we're looking forward to go again."
Up first for the Cougars? St. Louis High School, a team from Honolulu, Hawaii.
