TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former FSU women's basketball star Alicia Gladden has been selected as an ACC Women's Basketball Legend according to a release by the league..

The ACC Women's Basketball Legends program honors both players and coaches from each of the ACC's 15 schools who have contributed to the league's rich tradition.

Gladden was a four year starter for the Noles from 2003-07 and was a key factor in FSU becoming one of the top programs in the ACC and helped FSU reach the Sweet 16 in her senior season.

Gladden, who also went by the nickname "Ice" still owns a number of FSU records, ranking first in school history with 275 career steals and being one of just 11 Seminoles to finish with 1,400 or more points in a career.

Sadly, Gladden’s life ended on April 19, 2013, when she was a fatal victim of a drunk driving accident caused by another driver as she was returning home after coaching a Creekside High School basketball game in St. Johns, Fla.
