GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University of Florida football team will begin the 2013 season ranked No. 10 in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 football coaches' poll, announced today.
Florida will face four teams this season ranked in the preseason top 15, according to the coaches' poll. Florida ventures to Baton Rouge to play No. 13 LSU on Oct. 12. At their annual meeting in Jacksonville, the Gators will face No. 5 Georgia on Nov. 2. Florida then travels to Columbia to face SEC East foe No. 7 South Carolina on Nov. 16. The regular-season finale will be held in The Swamp as Florida renews its in-state rivalry against No. 12 Florida State.
In all, six SEC teams are represented in the poll, including defending BCS Champion Alabama at the top, and Texas A&M, who starts the season just outside the top five at No. 6.
