Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) -- For the sixth straight summer,  Rickards graduate William Gay is back in town for his football camp. This year it also included a Fun and Field Day.  The Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back says the kids motivate him to keep coming back.  He went to Rickards with many of their parents.

"It means alot," Gay said.  "The community still supports me. I'm glad that I got to year six and it's bigger than ever.  We have things out: bounce houses, music and everybody is having fun."

Some other area NFL players helped Gay as volunteers including the Miami Dolphins Akil Blount,  the Giants B.J. Daniels, and the Tennessee Titans B.W. Webb.

"It is a fraternity and at the end of the day we are all from Tallahassee."  former Lincoln football player B.J. Daniels said. "It was cool to be in Seattle and actually have to line up against William Gay and have to block him. It is a really a fraternity.  Those are moments and memories only me and him can share."

Gay gave away gifts such as autographed Steelers footballs and Steelers terrible towels.  The adults even had fun. They had a 40-and-over 40-yard-dash race.  Gay called this race the main event.  He hopes the camp continues to grow.

"Just to keep it going and hopefully pass it on to someone else who went to Rickards," Gay said. "I can sit back and watch them continue it."

Gay resigned with the Pittsburgh Steelers this past March to start his ninth season in Pittsburgh.
