TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The first installment of the Sunshine Showdown in 2013 takes place on the soccer pitch Friday, August 30 when No. 3 Florida State travels to face No. 9 Florida in Gainesville. Sun Sports will carry the match live beginning at 7 p.m.
Sun Sports is available on DirecTV channel 653 and on Dish Network channel 422. Fans with a local cable provider are encouraged to check their local listings for the Sun Sports channel.
Florida leads the all-time series 11-9-0, but it’s Florida State who has won the last two meetings including a thrilling 3-2 victory in Gainesville in 2011 followed by a 1-0 shutout victory in Tallahassee last year.
