TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State soccer team received first half goals from Berglind Thorvaldsdottir and Marta Bakowska-Mathews, as the Seminoles topped Syracuse on Thursday night. With the win the Noles extend their winning streak to eight straight games. FSU also extends it's scoreless streak to 507 minutes which is the third longest streak in school history.
Bakowska-Mathews led all players with a goal and an assist for her fourth multi-point effort of the season, while Thorvaldsdottir broke the scoreless tie in the 26th minute connecting on her team leading 10th goal of the season and third game-winner.
Florida State returns to action on Sunday when the Seminoles take on No. 9 Virginia Tech at 1:00 p.m.
