TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - USA Diving is set to make its second stop of the summer at the Morcom Aquatics Center as FSU hosts the 2013 National Preliminary Zone B Championships. The meet will run from July 19-21, with each session starting at 10:30 a.m.

“It’s such a great opportunity for us,” head diving coach Patrick Jeffrey said. “It gives some of the most talented prospects and collegiate divers a chance to experience our facility as well as the city. Our staff did a remarkable job organizing the event and we’re all ready to go for the weekend.”

Fresh off her silver medal at the World University Games, rising junior Katrina Young will shift gears and compete in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events. Young placed sixth in the women’s 10-meter platform while in Kazan, Russia, helping Team USA to a second place finish in the Team Classification.

Rising Senior Kelsey Goodman will compete in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events as well. Earlier in the summer, Goodman contested the same events at the World Championship trials, placing sixth in 3-meter and eighth in 1-meter.

“There will be some great diving here this weekend,” Jeffrey said. “We are all ready to go and we can’t wait to get this event underway.”

The meet is open to the public and admission is free throughout the weekend.

Below is a list of the order of events. There are quarterfinals and finals to each event. Qualifications for the 2013 USA Diving National Championships in Iowa City, Iowa are based on overall performance in previous competitions and placement in U.S. National Preliminary Meets.
