Tallahassee, FL (WTXL)-- FSU has officially accepted its invitation to play in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl on December 31st at noon. The Noles play Houston. Peach Bowl Representatives were at Florida State on Monday morning to make the official announcement.
"I couldn't think of a better game to be a part of," FSU Head Coach Jimbo Fisher said. "Every time I've ever been to the Peach Bowl, they've done it as first-class as any organization in the country," Fisher added.
Peach Bowl President and CEO Gary Stokan believes the matchup should be exciting.
"We have the number twelve offense in Houston against the number five defense in the country in Florida State," Stokan said. "When you get on that fast turf in the Georgia Dome it makes for an exciting game," Stokan added.
FSU has 15 practices to get ready for the Peach Bowl. It hopes to make the Peach Bowl next season when it is one of the College Football Playoff Semifinals.
