TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The early signing period is here for high school athletes across the country, and on Monday at Chiles High School, four student-athletes from two different sport made it official.
Volleyball standout Emily Bowen inked with NAIA Webber International, while baseball players Harry Fancis, Tommy Kinney, and Garrett Mathes inked with Chipola, Tallahassee Community College and Santa Fe respectively.
"Our baseball program is a perennial strong program, and for them to have three athletes, it's just impressive," said assistant athletic director Amy Sherry. "Volleyball, every fall seems to have another athlete sign so it's absolutely exciting. Anytime we have any athlete sign, it just shows how strong our athletic programs are, how strong our athletes are, and how hard they work."
