TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Tuesday, the Florida State football team hosted Pro Day, a chance for draft eligible athletes to showcase their stuff. Jalen Ramsey was the big show, but a lot of other guys caught the attention of NFL brass.

One of the former Noles that turned a lot of heads was Javien Elliot, a defensive back with a unique story. Elliot was a walk-on, but earned a scholarship before the start of the 2015 season. He was a major contributor on the Florida State defense, finishing with 37 tackles, a sack, and an interception.

At Pro Day, Elliot ran a 4.41 forty yard dash, and while he has a remarkable story, for him, it's all the result of a lot of hard work.

"When I came in, my main thing was to get a scholarship, then to move on up and just get better and better and just keep on marking off accomplishments," he said. "I wanted to be here at this point, so yeah, I kind of had it in my plan."

The 2016 NFL Draft kicks off April 28th in Chicago.
