TAMPA BAY, Fla. (WTXL) - It's no secret the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn't have the greatest season. They went 6-10, and the year ended with head coach Lovie Smith's departure. However, one thing is certain, the Bucs did right in drafting Jameis Winston with the number one overall pick.

The former Seminole quarterback proved all his doubters wrong, becoming the third rookie in NFL history to throw for over 4000 yards, breaking every Buccaneer rookie record in the process.

Now, he is blazing trails as the first ever Tampa Bay rookie quarterback to earn an invite to the Pro Bowl, as Monday night, the NFL announced Winston will replace Patriot quarterback Tom Brady, who has elected not to play in the game.

The Pro Bowl takes the field January 31st.
