Former FAMU, Lincoln standout Scott signs contract with Arizona Cardinals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 27) - Former Florida A&M Defensive Lineman Padric Scott has signed a Free Agent Contract with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.
 
Scott transferred to FAMU from Stanford after the 2008 season and has anchored the Rattler defensive line unit for past three seasons.
In 2009, Scott saw action in seven games as he garnered four tackles (2 UA, 2 Asst).
 
The next two seasons, Scott would start in 10 of the Rattlers 11 games as he finished the 2010 season with  18 tackles, ( 5UA, 13 Asst), three tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks and the 2011 season with 28 tackles, three tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble return and three sacks.
 
In 2012, Scott finished the season with 26 tackles (18 UA, 8 Asst), five tackles for loss, one pass deflections, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 2.5 sacks, earning second team All-MEAC honors.  In addition, he was named to the Preseason All-MEAC team.
