Valdosta, GA --(WTXL) After missing the playoffs last season, the Vikings are doing everything in the preseason to finish strong and make a postseason run this season. Coach Randy McPherson is in his 14th season running the program, "If you're any kind of competitor that's what you want to do, get better," McPherson said.
To improve, McPherson wants his Vikings to be physical and intense this season. They were 1-4 in their region last season. "I think the identity of the team is be physical in any phase of the game special teams, offense, defense," McPherson said. "That's what we are going to try to hang our hat on," he added.
