TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The Florida State women's basketball team is coming off a historic season, and this year, they return six players with starting experience.

Several of the ladies hit the road this summer for International play, including All-American Adut Balgak, who led Canada to a runner-up finish at the World University Games earlier this month.

"I've never played more physical basketball in my life!" she laughed. "People have developed a lot more skill being in different programs. You're being demanded to learn under new coaching styles. Hopefully they'll use those skills to transfer to our program."

Bulgak now back in Tallahassee, and said she is ready to get back to work.

"Right now I'm a little bit on break letting my body rest," she said. "I'm definitely excited seeing how much the girls have improved from my time being away. It really makes me excited to get back on the court with them."

Florida State has a tough non-conference schedule laid out, with UConn an Rutgers on tap. That full schedule will be released sometime next week.
