TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - There have been few athletic programs on Florida State's campus than the Seminole soccer program. The Noles have been to five straight College Cups, they've won three straight ACC Championships, and a National title in 2014.
The season, the Seminoles enter the season ranked number one in the country, and they won't have to wait long until their first test as they face eighth ranked Texas A&M Friday night in College Station.
Florida State returns several key players but they are also young with eleven newcomers. Friday's game is a big test, but one the agree they're glad to have early.
"It's a matter of us going down there and learning some lessons along the way, hopefully setting the foundation for us so hopefully when we get later in to the season we learn some lessons," said head coach Mark Krikorian. "I'm sure we're going to make some mistakes and young teams, new teams, even last year's team early in the season we made mistakes, but it's a matter of how quickly we can grow from those."
Florida State's date with the Aggies is slated for 8:30, and can be watched on the SEC Network.
