GREENSBORO, N.C. – Florida State junior Courtney Senas has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Senas led the Seminoles last week in batting average, base hits, RBIs, doubles, home runs, total bases, and slugging percentage as Florida State went 3-2 on the week with two wins over No. 21/25 Hofstra and a victory over Arkansas. Against the Razorbacks, the native of Wahiawa, Hawaii, connected on her first home run of the season. In a doubleheader against Hofstra on Saturday, Senas went 4-for-7 with three extra base hits and drove in eight runs to lead the Seminoles to 9-1 and 4-0 wins. In the first game, she set a new career high with five RBIs.
On the weekend, Senas hit .375 with 10 RBIs, four extra base hits, and three runs to earn her first career ACC Player of the Week honor.
