TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - In a little over two weeks, we'll get our first look at this Florida State men's basketball team.
The Seminoles opened practice Thursday and after last year's Elite Eight run, the Noles are getting some preseason love. Several preseason polls have them ranked in the top 15 in the country.
These guys are not paying that any mind however, as they're focused on the now and just getting better.
"The rankings don't mean much, because once you make it to the tournament, the rankings are out the window," said senior guard PJ Savoy. "Anybody can win, so we just try to focus on winning and staying ahead of the pack."
"We were not preseason ranked the beginning of last year," said head coach Leonard Hamilton. "We didn't allow that to affect us, and you can't allow yourself if you are preseason ranked, allow that to affect you."
First chance to catch this team is Sunday, October 14th when they takeover the Tuck for a Garnet and Gold scrimmage.
