TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Tuesday night, the Florida State baseball team, fresh off a three game sweep over Boston College, hit the road for a date with rival Florida.
The home team Gators took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second off a home run, and added two more in the bottom of the second off a two run blast, and never looked back. Florida State committed three errors in the 6-0 loss, their first shut-out in Gainesville since 1994.
The Seminoles return to action on Friday when they travel to Pittsburgh for a three game series with the Panthers.
