GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease seems resigned to his fate.
Pease wants to return in 2014 and believes he has earned the right to help turn things around in Gainesville. But he also realizes the Gators (4-7) have failed miserably this season. They have a six-game losing streak and have secured the program's first losing season since 1979.
And Pease and his offense are getting the brunt of the blame.
Pease says, "I understand things. I know you've got to win and have success. If it's not meant to be ... I came into this with friends and I'm walking out of it with friends."
Pease says coach Will Muschamp has given him no indication about his future. He has two years remaining on a four-year contract worth $590,000 annually.
