TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Classifications 1A and 2A wrapped up swim and dive Regionals in North Florida last week, and a 12 year old from Tallahassee is making a splash.

Jordan Green, a 7th grader at Florida High, won his Region by over 100 points. He's the first Regional winner ever for diving at Florida High, and the kicker? He's only been diving less than a year.

Heading into State, he says he is confident, and a little nervous, but says he is ready to compete.

"I'm going against really good people and I'm pretty sure I'm going to do good and make it to top three," he said. "It's kind of nerve wrecking, but it's also a cool opportunity to be going to state when I'm in 7th grade and going against high school divers and it's really a big opportunity for me and I'm thankful for that."
