TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - To win a State Championship, girls soccer teams in the state of Florida have to win four more games. Regional Semifinals took center stage Friday night, and in the Big Bend, three teams were still alive.
After Friday's matches, none of the three remained in the hunt for a State title. In Class 1A, Maclay fell to six time defending State Champ St. Johns Country Day. Florida High lost a heartbreaker in Class 3A, falling 5-4 in PK's to South Walton.
Leon hosted Niceville in Class 4A, but the Lions fell 1-0 after the visiting Eagles scored with less than four minutes to go in regulation.
