TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - Few girls basketball teams in the Big Bend have been better than the Florida High Seminoles. The Noles are 14-3 on the season and 6-0 in 5A District 2 play.
Last year's State Runner-up finish is still fresh on this team's mind. Lakeland is most certainly in their plans, but this time, they want to come back with gold.
"They understand what we did last year, now they are ready to take it a step further," said head coach Darryl Marshall. "They wanted to leave their legacy, and their imprint on Florida High. We said it last year but now they know it and they are going after it, and working hard for it."
The Leon boys soccer team has had a stellar season in their own right, and they continued to roll on Monday, defeating Godby 6-1.
