TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Monday, the Florida A&M men and women's basketball team hosted Maryland Eastern Shore in a MEAC doubleheader.
The FAMU ladies got the night started, and led by Shalaunda Burney-Robinson's 21 points, they cruised to a 59-49 win. The victory improved the Rattlers to 4-15 on the year, 2-4 in Conference play.
The men took on the Hawks in the nightcap, and trailed by as much as twenty in the second half. The Rattlers cut the deficit to just five with a minute and a half to play, but fell 86-79.
Florida A&M fell to 4-15 (2-4 MEAC) with the loss. Demond Williams led FAMU with 19 points and seven rebounds.
