ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida A&M Rattlers opened MEAC Tournament play on Thursday on the hunt for their third straight title. The ladies opened up play in a big way, beating Norfolk State 15-3.
Play continued for the Rattlers in the double elimination tournament on Thursday night, when they faced Savannah State. Florida A&M scored three runs early, but the Tigers fought back. The Rattlers held on for the close 4-3 win to stay in the winner's bracket of the tournament.
FAMU will face rival Bethune-Cookman on Friday at 1:00.
