TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - On Wednesday, the Florida A&M Rattlers suited up in pads for the first time this season.
Head Coach Willie Simmons noted it felt good to get out and up the intensity. The Rattlers are now one week into practice, and so far, coach is liking what he sees, but notes they still have a lot to learn.
"I'm a perfectionist so I'm never satisfied until after the game when we got a win," he said. "I look at how much better we can be. WE have a lot we can improve upon. Again, I'm encouraged with their intensity, their attitudes, their attention to detail, just their love for the game. That's something you want to see whenever you're trying to build a Championship culture."
FAMU opens the regular season September 1st at home against Fort Valley State.
