TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The start of the 2019 season is just a few weeks away for the Florida A&M Baseball team.
It's a team with a lot of young talent and a handful of position players back, and they're ready to get after it and begin their run at a MEAC title.
Head Coach Jamey Shouppe said he is excited about this years bunch. It's a group utilizing the motto "Grind to Greatness," and they are ready to see what this 2019 squad is all about.
"We're not real experienced but I like the talent, so it's kind of going to be interesting for me," said Shouppe on Tuesady. "We may not even know as coaches until we get to the first, second month of the season, and hopefully by the time we get to MEAC play, we'll have it figured out by then."
Opening Day for the Rattlers? February the 15th, when they open the season on the road at the Andre Dawson Classic in New Orleans.
