TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says running back Karlos Williams will get a larger role in the offense when the No. 8 Seminoles play Atlantic Coast Conference rival Boston College on Saturday.
Williams has run for 193 yards, three touchdowns and a team-high 11.4 yards per carry since switching from safety after the season opener against Pittsburgh. His yards per carry ranks No. 7 in FBS.
Williams has not had a first-half attempt in the last two games, but Fisher wants him involved earlier. That could mean fewer carries for running back James Wilder, Jr., who has 159 yards rushing, two touchdowns and a 6.6 yards per carry average in three games.
